Phil Dlab's photo book series, "Nothing to Hide. Young Men
from Slovakia," gets a new instalment! Following on the success of the
first two volumes, the Slovak-born photographer, who grew up in Canada, pays
tribute once again to the men of his native land. He describes the concept
behind the book succinctly: "I show guys doing what they always do, only
doing it naked." "Nothing to Hide 3" portrays young men who are
athletic, energetic and self-confident, in harmony with themselves and
their surroundings. Whether nudes or portraits, in color or in black and white,
Phil Dlab's photos capture the power and authenticity of young men who really
have nothing to hide.
Phil Dlab was born in Slovakia but livedmost of his life in Canada. Formany years he dreamed of returning to Europe until finally making thebig move to Bratislava in 2010. In the summer of 2018 he began tophotograph friends from the freerunning and street workout scene inSlovakia, and in January 2019 he launched bodytorium.com. Following thegreat success of "Nothing to Hide" and "Nothing to Hide 2," Dlab continues the photo book serieswith this volume.
