About the Author

Gwendoline Gains grew up on a farm in the East Midlands. Following a serious riding accident, Gwendol then spent four years at Leicester College of Art and Design. This led to a successful career in London as Art Editor with various publishing houses: The Hamlyn Group, Conran Design Group, and Morgan Grampian. She later went to university and gained a combined degree in fine art painting and English literature. She has exhibited her work across the UK for the last 20 years. She now lives on the west coast of Scotland with her rescued chihuahua, Tara.
